Choosing the Right Combo

The 4000 and 5000 models are best for general inshore and boat fishing, while the 6000 / 9' MH and 8000 / 10' H are better suited to surfcasting and longer-distance presentations.

Red Top Tip: For most Cape Cod boat fishing, the 5000 / 7' MH is the sweet spot. For beach and surf use, step up to the 6000 / 9' MH, or choose the 8000 / 10' H when you need more power for heavier plugs, bait, and stronger current.
