Daiwa BG SW

The Daiwa 26 BG SW builds on one of the best-value workhorse spinning reel platforms in saltwater fishing, with major upgrades aimed at anglers who need more strength, sealing, and drag performance.

For Cape Cod anglers, the BG SW is a strong fit for striped bass, bluefish, albies, bonito, and other hard-fighting inshore species from the beach, Canal, rocks, or boat. The redesigned aluminum body features gasket sealing for added protection, while Daiwa’s POWERDRIVE DESIGN brings improved strength and efficiency under load.

An oversized POWER DIGIGEAR provides the cranking power needed when fish turn into current, while the reinforced POWERDRIVE ROTOR helps maintain rigidity under heavy drag pressure. Daiwa’s ATD TOUGH carbon drag system delivers smooth, consistent pressure throughout the fight.

The braid-ready spool allows direct connection of braided line without mono backing, and the upgraded soft-touch egg-shaped handle knob adds comfort and control during long battles.
