Penn Battle IV DX

The PENN Battle IV DX takes one of PENN’s most proven saltwater spinning platforms and gives it a more premium build for anglers who want extra durability, smoothness, and cranking power.

For Cape Cod anglers, the Battle IV DX is a strong fit for striped bass, bluefish, albies, bonito, and general inshore or nearshore use. The Full Metal Body and sideplate help keep the reel rigid under load, while PENN’s Hydro Armor sealing adds protection in key areas against saltwater intrusion.

The DX version steps up from the standard Battle IV with CNC-machined brass gearing across the lineup, an additional bearing, and an EVA handle knob for a smoother, more refined feel and better comfort during long days on the water.
