Shimano Vanford Spinning Reel

Shimano Vanford Spinning Reel

The Shimano Vanford is built for anglers who want a lightweight, responsive reel without giving up the strength and refinement needed for serious inshore fishing.

Its CI4+ body keeps weight down while maintaining rigidity, and Shimano’s MagnumLite rotor gives the reel a fast, effortless startup that makes it especially well suited for applications where quick lure response matters. Around Cape Cod, that makes the Vanford a great match for albies, bonito, schoolie stripers, backwater fishing, and lighter inshore setups where fatigue and balance matter over a long day.

Inside, Shimano combines HAGANE gearing, SilentDrive, and MicroModule Gear II for smooth, precise operation, while the Long Stroke Spool is designed to improve line lay and casting performance. X-Protect adds another layer of water resistance for anglers regularly fishing around salt spray and inshore conditions.
