The Van Staal VRII series represents the next generation of the proven VR platform, offering fully sealed performance in a lighter, more refined design. Built for serious saltwater use, these reels are engineered to perform reliably in harsh conditions, from surfcasting to offshore applications.

Constructed from machined 6061 aluminum, the VRII features a fully sealed body and drag system designed to keep out water, sand, and debris. The updated internal design includes a stainless steel spiral-bevel gear system and an upgraded main shaft for improved strength, durability, and smooth operation under load.

Each reel comes standard with a bail installed, along with a bail-less conversion kit for anglers who prefer manual line control. The sealed drag system provides consistent, dependable pressure across its range, making it suitable for targeting species from striped bass to offshore gamefish.
