Winthrop Terminator Butt

The Winthrop Terminator Adjusta-Butt gives serious offshore anglers the versatility of both a straight and bent butt in one setup.

With the push of a button, the Terminator adjusts from a straight trolling position to a bent fighting position, giving anglers better leverage and a more comfortable fighting angle once a fish is hooked.

For Cape Cod bluefin anglers, that means you can troll normally with the rod straight, then quickly switch to the bent position to reduce fatigue and apply pressure more efficiently during a long fight.

Key Advantages

• Straight position for trolling and normal rod-holder use
• Bent position for improved leverage during the fight
• Helps reduce angler fatigue
• Makes it easier to apply steady pressure on big fish
• Eliminates the need to choose between a dedicated straight or bent butt
• Excellent for tuna and other heavy offshore applications
• Premium machined aluminum construction

Red Top Tip: The biggest advantage of the Terminator is versatility—troll with the rod straight, then switch to the bent position for better leverage, reduced fatigue, and more efficient fish-fighting power.
